Chedc that the transmitters have the coned house ID programmed.
Check that the transmttters have the oorrect transmker ID assigned.
Check that the transmttters have fresh batteries.
Thk indicates that the polling loop has etther a direct short, or a short to
ground on the (+) side. Might ako Indicate that the 4280 RF Receiver k
causing the short (dinned 4280 to vedfy).
Chedcthatpollingkoppolarltykoonectatthecontlrolpanel,aswllas~
each 4280.
Check oontinulty from (+) slde of the loop to ground (disconnect the
polling loop from the Control first!) - an open should be read (no
continuity). If a short to ground exists, find and eliminate the short.
Check voltage across the polling hop at the Control panel as well as at
each 4280 - there should be fbctuatbn between 8-l 1VDC. tf there k no
voltage or steady voltage, check that the 4152LMB k not shorting
against any components on the dialer hoard - there should be Yish
paper installed between these two hoards.
Check that the house ID’s match between the transmftters and the 4280.
Check that the 4280 is enahkd In program fields 1’26 for the first 4280
and 1’27 for the second 4280.
Check that the zones in question are enabled for RF In program fields
1’18 through 1’25.
Check that a zone response k programmed for the zones in question, tn
fields ‘02 through
l
05, and 1’01 through 1’05.
Check that the 4280% antenna k property installed.
Remove any sensors from the transmitters and short across the
transmitter terminals. Then fault the transmttter to see tl the ‘READY fight
goes out. If it does not go out, check the programming for that particular
transmitter; if it does go out, check the sensors on that zone.
Move the 4280 to another bcatiin for better reception.
Check program field ‘05 to make sure ‘97 has a zone type response
entered. lf a loop short occurs and no response k entered for 97”. the
console would display only ‘NOT READY, with no explanation.
A Siknt Panic conditiin may be present. Key the security code + OFF to
see it the condition dears.
This test mode cuts the receiver’s sensitii by 50%. Thk means that as
bng as a transmitter responds, tk location k satisfactory.
Move the affected transmitters to another bcatiin and re-test. There
may
be something blocking its transmksion path.
If all transmttters are affected, move the receiver to another bcatbn.
There may he something Mocking .ti reception.
If no receiver location can be found lhat can reliably receive a/l
transmttters, add a second 4280 In a diflerent location in the premises to
extend
me
RF coverage of the system.
