- C. TROUBLE CbNDlTlONS -

The word ‘CHECK” on the Console’s display, accompanied by a rapid ‘beeping’ at the Console, indicates that
there is a trouble condition in the system. The audible warning sound can be silenced by pressing any key.
Instruct users to call for servtce immediatety upon seeing any of the following messages.
“CHECK” MESSAGES
l
A display of ‘CHECK’ accompanied by a display of one or more zone
descriptor(s) (513OXMl5137) or numeric zone ID(s) (4130XMI4137)
indicates that a problem exists with those zone(s). First, determine lf the
zone(s) displayed are intact and make them so if they are not. If the
problem has been corrected, key an OFF sequence (Code plus OFF) to
clear the display.
l
A display of the word *CHECK” accompanied by a numeric display of “97
indicates that a short exists on the Polling Loop and may eliminate some of
the protection. Fault -7” can be assigned an alpha descriptor when using
the 5130XM or 4140XM with the 5137 console.
l
A display of the word ‘CHECIC accompanied by a numeric display of ‘88’.
V9’, PO’, or 91’ indicates a 4280 Receiver problem. Refer to the
WIRELESS paragraphs in the TROUBLESHOOTING section for more
information. Faults ‘90’ 8 ‘91’ can be assigned alpha descriptors when
using the 5130XM or 4140XM with the 5137 console. Note that lf a
second 4280 is used, trouble conditions for it are identified by zone
numbers w & -89” which cannot be assigned alpha descriptors.
OTHER TROUBLE
CONDITIONS
l
A display of %OMM. FAILURE’ (513OXMl5137) or ‘FC’ (413OXMI4137)
at the Console indicates that a failure occurred in the telephone
communication portion of your system.
l
A display of ‘LO BAT (5130XMI5137) or “BAT (4130XMI4137) and a
zone descriptor, accompanied by a once per minute beep at the Console
indicates that a tow battery condition exists in the wireless transmitter
displayed. The audible warning sound may be silenced by pressing any
key. A display of ‘SYSTEM LO BAT (5130XM15137) or ‘BAT with no
zone ID (413OXM/4137) indicates that a low battery condition exists with
the system’s backup battery.

A display of -4280 SET UP ERROR’ (5130XMI5137) or ‘E8’
(413OXMI4137) at the console indicates that a 4280-8 receiver is being
used in a system wtth more than 8 RF zones programmed. 11 this is not
corrected, none of the zones in the system will be protected. If more than
8 RF zones are desired. a 4280 Receiver must be used.
POWER FAlLUdE
If the POWER indicator is off, and the message ‘AC LOSS (513OxM15137)
or -NO AC’ (413OXM14137) is displayed, the Console is operating on battery
power onty. Check the folbwing:
l
At the premises, check circuit breakers and fuses and reset or replace as
necessary.
l
Check to see that your system’s plug-in Power Pack has not been
accidentally pulled out.
l
Instruct the user to call a servtce representative immediatety if AC power
cannot be restored.
NOTE: The power indicator may extinguish immediately upon power failure,
but the display message could take up to 2 minutes to appear.
Conversely, the power indicator may light immediately upon power
being restored, but it could take up to 2 minutes after power is
restored for the display message to change.
